Roxy Presents a Harvest Wine Pairing Dinner September 16
The Eldorado’s Roxy restaurant is offering guests a special Harvest Wine Pairing Dinner featuring the wines of Ferrari-Carano, Lazy Creek Vineyards and Taittinger on Sunday, September 16 with two seatings at 5 and 7:30 p.m. The five course menu is just $55 per person.
The menu begins with a delightful amuse bouche – cured salmon belly with house ricotta on a sea salt cracker paired with Domaine Carneros Brut Rose by Taittinger – followed by a local nectarine upside down cake with shaved prosciutto, dressed micro greens and garlic oil paired with the Ferrari-Carano 2011 Bella Luce. The second course pairs the Ferrari-Carano 2010 Reserve Chardonnay with crispy tempura King crab atop charred avocado, heirloom tomato and spiced corn milk. Guests will then be treated to a grilled Amish veal steak with preserved lemon hummus, anchocress and oregano-infused ice syrup matched with the Ferrari-Carano 2010 Tre Terre Chardonnay followed by beautiful local greens dressed with a summer strawberry vinaigrette and the Lazy Creek Vineyards 2009 Rose of Pinot Noir. Dessert is a chilly lemon bar with Bing cherry compote, coddled cream and cocoa nibs paired with the
Ferrari-Carano 2007 Eldorado Gold dessert wine.
