The luck of the Irish was certainly with Sacramento resident Nancy M. over St. Patrick’s Day weekend when she won the $269,906 MegaJackpot® on a Wheel of Fortune® quarter progressive slot machine at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno.

Nancy and her husband came to the Eldorado to see "Magique" playing in the Eldorado Showroom. She had only put $20 in the machine and still had 54 credits when she hit the MegaJackpot®. Both Nancy and her husband are Irish and were wearing matching shirts with the words "This Be My Lucky Shirt" and Nancy’s husband had a four leaf clover in his wallet that he’s had since 1966.

This isn’t the first time the lucky pair has hit it big - they won $100,000 six years ago. When asked if she would quit her job at an optometrist office, Nancy said, "I wouldn’t dream of it. I love my job! But I probably will get a new car."
