Special Valentine’s Menus at the Eldorado
Indulgent, Romantic Dining at Roxy, La Strada
and The Prime Rib Grill
RENO, Nev. (January 30, 2014) – Guests at the Eldorado will find culinary passion on the menus at Roxy, La Strada and The Prime Rib Grill this Valentine’s day.
At the Eldorado’s award winning bistro, Roxy, guests can indulge in a divine three course Valentine’s Day menu, which begins with several first course choices. Guests can savor a dressed up prawn cocktail, frito misto with crispy calamari, shrimp and asparagus served with lemon pepper aioli, a classic Caesar salad or warm pistachio crusted goat cheese salad. The main course is beef Wellington and Canadian lobster tail served with the baker’s potato and Béarnaise sauce. The finale is a light as air flourless chocolate cake served with stuffed strawberries. This indulgent culinary adventure is $60 per person with seating beginning at 5 p.m.
At the Eldorado’s signature restaurant, La Strada, a four course meal is served for $100 per couple. The meal begins with antipasto – in-house marinated Arctic Char “Napoleon” with zucchini, tomato zest and micro arugula salad with avocado-crème fraiche dressing. Then it’s goat cheese cappelletti with roasted tomato broth and black olive tapenade plus Carnaroli risotto flavored with cream of peas, Parmigiano cheese and roasted veal shank sugo. For the main course, diners will savor clams casino style crusted Hawaiian snapper with smashed potatoes and broccolini as well as roasted lamb loin with farro grain and butternut squash, drizzled with a pinot noir reduction. Dolce is pistachio semifreddo made with frollino cookie, strawberry sauce and pistachio popcorn.
Guests can treat themselves to a classic spread at The Prime Rib Grill this Valentine’s for just $50 per person. The meal starts with a trip to the never ending soup and salad bar stocked with crisp greens and an array of fresh toppings plus fresh fruits, nuts and more. Chateaubriand and lobster is the featured entrée. Sliced Chateaubriand with port demi glace is served alongside a buttered half-lobster tail accompanied by truffled potatoes. Luscious tri-layered red velvet cake tops off the meal.
For a truly magical evening, guests can cap off the night with Eldorado’s new show “Ring of Fire,” a musical production based on the songs of Johnny Cash. Featuring a cast of six principles paired off to make three couples at various stages of life, the Cash lyrics conjure life experiences that are then applied to the characters. “Ring of Fire” includes some of Cash’s most beloved songs such as Daddy Sang Bass, Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line, I’ve Been Everywhere, The Man in Black and his final hit, Hurt.
