Guests can ditch the dishes and dine out beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Christmas Day at The Buffet. Plentiful helpings of roasted turkey, honey-glazed ham and rosemary leg of lamb will be at the carving station while holiday tamales with raisin and pineapple, orange-rosemary glazed rotisserie chicken, veal osso buco, warm crab cakes with saffron sauce, broiled sirloin steak and the Eldorado’s famous mushroom ravioli can be found along the entrée line. Seafood lovers can get their fill with classic Boston style clam chowder, ceviche, steamed mussels with ginger sauce, chilled snow crab legs, peel and eat shrimp and more. Seemingly endless selections are also available at the salad bar, antipasti station and dessert counter. Adults enjoy a Christmas feast for $26.99, children 12 and under for $13.99 and Club Eldorado Gold Card holders and above for $21.99.
Fine bistro dining with a bit of Christmas cheer can be found at Roxy, where diners can enjoy a special three-course meal offered in addition to the regular menu for only $48 starting at 4 p.m. The first course offers a choice of butternut squash bisque with foie gras and pomegranate or Crab Louie with butter lettuce, Dungeness crab, cherry tomatoes and remoulade. The main course is filet mignon signature beef Wellington with wild mushroom, flaky pastry, roasted garlic potato puree and veal demi-glace. Capping the meal is English toffee sticky pudding with Chantilly whipped cream and chocolate brittle.
In addition to the regular menu, the Eldorado’s signature restaurant, La Strada, will offer guests a special Christmas menu with an Italian twist. The “Antipasto” course features salmon carpaccio with lemon dressing, crunchy vegetable salad and pomegranate. “Primi Piatti,” or first course, is spinach lasagna with wild boar sugo and provolone cheese as well as Italian squash tortelloni with sausage, brown butter-sage and Parmigiano. “Secondi Piatti” includes both a pan roasted Hawaiian snapper with smashed roasted potatoes, red bell pepper and broccolini chutney, and a prosciutto-wrapped pork tenderloin with port wine and cherry reduction and roasted celery root. Dessert, or “Dolce,” is chestnut mousse with persimmon sauce and shaved dark chocolate all for just $44 per person, beginning at 4 p.m.
The Prime Rib Grill offers hearty classics from 4 p.m. until close with a special three-course Christmas dinner for $28.95. Guests start with a trip to the famous soup and salad bar and a butcher’s board appetizer featuring country pate, Thüringer, pork rillettes, pickled vegetables and housemade crackers. Guests will then have a choice of peppered beef brisket with spiced zucchini and sweet mustard butter or roasted leg of lamb with pear honey and crispy shallots, both with choice of potato. The meal concludes with one of The Prime Rib Grill’s seasonal desserts. The regular menu will also be offered.
Tivoli Gardens will re-open after a remodel and concept change as Millie’s 24. Millie’s 24 will feature an American coffee shop menu but with a modern ambience. Specialty items will be available on Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. including shepherd’s pie served with mushroom gravy and spaghetti squash for $9.75 and Christmas ham with cranberry, molasses and pecan glaze, served with scalloped potatoes and spaghetti squash Florentine.
