Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Special Menus at the Eldorado

Highlights Include Veal Tenderloin with Truffle Butter, Filet Mignon and Half Lobster Tail Scampi Style, Pan Seared Ahi and Triple Chocolate Mousse

Before the excitement of Champagne toasts and fireworks begins, guests can enjoy delicious dining on New Year’s Eve at the Eldorado Resort Casino. Exquisite menus have been specially created for the evening at Roxy, La Strada and The Prime Rib Grill.

For the finest dining downtown on New Year’s Eve, stop by Roxy for a four-course culinary journey. Diners begin with a bubbly glass of NV. Nicolas Feuillatte Brut before enjoying a first course Sunchoke Bisque with sunchoke chips and caviar paired with 2012 Ferrari-Carano Reserve Chardonnay. For the main course, guests will enjoy exquisite and succulent veal tenderloin with truffle butter served with spaghetti squash and Vol au Vent of Lobster Newberg, complimented by a 2010 Ferrari-Carano Reserve Cabernet. And because it isn’t over until the fat lady sings, a signature Opera Cake and 2012 Ferrari-Carano “Eldorado Noir” for dessert completes the meal. The three-course meal cost $65 per person or $100 with the wine selections and will be presented from 5 p.m. to close.

Felice anno nuovo from La Strada, where Chef Ivano Centemeri is pulling out all the stops to ring in the New Year. A special four-course dinner is being served from
5 p.m. for $55 per person. The antipasto course features Belgian red and white endive with sliced opal apple, roasted pancetta, candied walnuts and goat cheese dressing. Primi piatti, or first course, is a Tagliarini pasta with roasted leeks, wild mushrooms and crescenza cheese plus Risotto “Cacio & Pepe,” a simple yet signature Italian dish with cream of ricotta, parmigiana and asiago sweet sausage and Treviso radicchio sauce. Secondi piatti – second course –includes pan seared ahi with heritage grains, eggplant and tomato confit with a garlic emulsion and Barolo wine braised beef short ribs, chestnut stuffing with cream of turnips. For dessert, or dolce, enjoy the perfect blend of two classic desserts in one delicious treat – Profiteroles Tiramisu style! La Dolce Vita!

Finally, spend New Year’s Eve at The Prime Rib Grill where an elegant and hearty three-course meal begins with a trip to the famous soup and salad bar featuring velvety lobster bisque. Guests will savor filet mignon and a half lobster tail scampi-style with seasonal vegetables and creamy scalloped potatoes. The meal concludes with a triple chocolate mousse – dark, milk and white chocolate layered in a martini glass – all for $65 per person starting at 5 p.m. The regular menu also will be offered.

After dinner guests can stay and check out one of the property’s New Year’s Eve parties at The Brew Brothers, Roxy’s Bar and Lounge, NoVi, and Cin Cin, or stop by the Eldorado Showroom and see the toe-tapping “Zoot Suit Riot.” Tickets are available now.
