Celebrate New Year’s Eve with Special Menus at the Eldorado

RENO, Nev. (December 10, 2013) – Before the excitement of champagne toasts and fireworks, guests can enjoy exquisite dining this New Year’s Eve at the Eldorado Hotel Casino. Delectable dishes are being created to make memorable meals at Roxy, La Strada and The Prime Rib Grill!

For the finest downtown dining on New Year’s Eve, stop by Roxy for a three course culinary journey. Diners begin with their choice of spinach ricotta ravioli with lemon chive butter sauce, toasted pine nuts and shaved parmesan or lobster bisque accented with crème fraiche. For the main course, guests can either relish New Year’s Eve surf and turf featuring bone in filet mignon with veal demi-glace and roasted garlic maitre d’ butter alongside lobster tail thermidor with white cheddar duchess potato; or seared scallops with tiny potato pancakes and caviar beurre fondue. The meal ends with warm chocolate lava torte with espresso cream and almond brittle crunch. The three-course meal is just $50 per person from 5 p.m. to close.

Felice Anno Nuovo from La Strada, where chef Ivano Centemeri is pulling out all the stops to ring in the New Year! A special four course dinner is being served from 5 p.m. for $52 per person. Begin with Treviso radicchio and arugula salad with Caciocavallo cheese, roasted beets, candied walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette. For the “Primi Piatti,” guests will savor potato and pumpkin gnocchi with sausage meat sauce, shaved chestnuts and parmigiano as well as Prosecco wine risotto with lightly smoked ricotta cheese (made in house), peppercorns and toasted spices. Next, guests will be treated to pan seared scallop with toasted corn mashed potatoes and a dark cherry balsamic reduction plus roasted petite veal shank with roasted vegetables and veal au jus. Don’t forget dolce—caramel crusted marsala zabaglione semifreddo with chocolate sauce and Fleur de Sel.

Spend New Year’s Eve at The Prime Rib Grill where an elegant and hearty three course meal begins with a trip to the famous soup and salad bar and a butcher’s board appetizer featuring country pâté, Thüringer, pork rillettes, pickled vegetables and housemade crackers. Guests will then have a choice of prime rib with seasonal vegetables or roasted leg of lamb with pear honey and crispy shallots, both with choice of potato. The meal concludes with one of The Prime Rib Grill’s seasonal desserts all for just $28.95 starting at 5 p.m.

After dinner guests can stay and check out one of the property’s New Year’s Eve parties at The Brew Brothers, Roxy’s Bar and Lounge and BuBinga Lounge, or stop by the Eldorado Showroom and see “Ice Fantasy – Where Cirque Meets Ice.” Tickets for these events are available now.
