  • Valentine's Day at the Eldorado

    The Eldorado is making Valentines Day planning a breeze with options for a room, dinner and show all under one roof this February 14.

    Guests at Roxy will love the four course Valentine’s Day menu, which begins with “Champagne is for Lovers” – crostone with truffles, wild mushrooms and champagne sabayon. The “foreplay” course features a choice of Penn Cove oysters on the half shell with a Love Potion #9 mignonette or “Le Passion” featuring cubes of tuna in passion fruit with ginger and lotus root. The “Piece de Resistance” is a choice of garlic and herb crusted filet mignon with fingerling potatoes and tomato jam or a succulent butter-poached Australian lobster accompanied by lobster creamed spinach and pommes gaufrette. The finale is a decadent molten chocolate cake, hand-dipped chocolate strawberries and a Champagne chocolate sauce. This indulgent culinary adventure is $65 per person with seating beginning at 5pm.

    At the Eldorado’s signature restaurant, La Strada, a four course meal is served for only $80 per couple from 5pm to close. Begin with prosciutto di Parma, Crescenza cheese-stuffed focaccina and fig compote. Then it’s roasted breast of duck scaloppini with a balsamic vinegar reduction and cream of butternut squash risotto plus artichoke tortelli with mascarpone cheese enhanced with lemon zest and marjoram. For the main course, diners will savor a grilled swordfish medallion with polenta crouton, topped with a fresh “salsa Mediterranea” and rolled chicken “Involtino” with asparagus, Fontina cheese and smoked prosciutto. Dolce is almond panna cotta mousse with fresh raspberry and a petite apple tatin with “Fior di Panna” gelato.

    The Prime Rib Grill has romance on tap at a great value - couples dine for just $45 beginning at 5pm this Valentine’s! The meal starts with a trip to the soup and salad bar and then it’s the perfect pair - surf and turf! Guests will relish a grilled Australian lobster tail and six ounce filet mignon served with parmesan potato gratin and roasted baby carrots. A luscious red velvet cake tops off the meal.

    After dinner, live the romance and feel the passion of the Eldorado’s hot new show, “Benise – Nights of Fire!” With Brazilian samba, Cuban salsa, Spanish flamenco and Argentine tango, this world music and dance production will take audience members on an exotic journey. Performances run Tuesday and Friday at 8pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 7pm and Saturday at 7 and 9:30pm.

    For guests that really want to have a special night, the Very Important Couple’s Package includes a night in one of the Eldorado’s lush Player’s Spa Suites and two tickets to “Benise – Nights of Fire!” for just $159. For $30 more couples can get hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of Champagne. The Very Important Couple’s Package can be booked February 10-17.
